Nellie Benson Book Plates of Darling Flower Children from 1901.

Hi everyone!  This is the second post of flower children by Nellie Benson. The first post was for pinks and rose flowers on May,14,2012. A while ago I came across this sweet little book with darling pictures of flower children. The illustrator is Nellie Benson. I will look for more of her work for you. Today's selection features the plates that have yellow colors. I will be posting them in groups by color so there are more to come.
Much Love as always, Louise

The best 1920's Photoplay magazine covers.

Hi everyone! How are you doing?  Today I have some magazine covers for you to play with. These pretty divas where cover girls on old Photoplay magazines. Photoplay was a" motion pictures" fan magazine from the 1920's. They are full of great images so more to follow.
Hope you are all staying as cool as possible. Much love to you all, Louise

Ackermann's Engravings of Regency Walking Dresses from 1820

Hi everyone! I am so glad you are visiting my blog. Welcome to all the new followers and thank you for all of the kind comments. They are all so fun and inspiring.
My Legacy buttons have kept me busy. This week is the first time I am caught up! There will be a few stragglers but 99% are ready to be brought in. Can't wait till Thursday.
These beautiful etchings are from R.Ackermann's 1820 "Repository of Fashion".  They would be so pretty framed. What a great reference for costume and  period clothing. I know that some of you sew historically accurate clothing that is amazing. The soft colors, ruffles, ribbon bows and lace are sooo feminine.
Much love to each and everyone of you, Louise

Hot summer days are a time for hammocks in the shade!

Hi everyone, Welcome to all of you. Does a comfy hammock gently swaying in the breeze sound good? I love looking up into the canopy of green leaves. Thank you trees for  providing the shade and support for my idle comfort. Try to stay cool and drink plenty of water.
Glad you stopped by. Much love to you as always, Louise
